Feature Requests / Remember last export setting

When I export a figure the standard export is always "PS", but I need always "PDFtex". It would be great if there would be an option "standard export method" or even better WinFig would remember my last choise or (perhaps the best variant) WinFig would remember the last choise individual for every figure (that means store it in the .fig file).

Bug Reports / Unexpected inreversible behavior when using Alt+Wheel

When I press Alt and use the mousewheel in WinFig 4b2 (for example to try to zoom with the mouse wheel) the view changes (the figure "jumps" rightways) and the dotted paper border line disapperas. The old view is only to be recovered by reload of the .fig file.

In future versions zoom by mousewheel (while pressing e.g. Alt) would be a great feature. I think this is no easy feature, because the zoom should be faster than now (perhaps first without antialaising until final zoom level is reached).

Feature Requests / LaTeX envelope

In the LaTeX envelope I include the .tex file with my symbol definitions, so that I don't have to write all complicated mathematical symbols again if I use them in my figures. When I update the .tex file with a new symbol definition I have to close and reopen the .fig file, before these changes take effect. It would be fine if this could work without reload.

Feature Requests / Add Zoom DropDown

WinFIG 4b1: The zoom function is a little slow at my computer. This is not generally a problem, but only if I have to zoom one time. For this reason I never use the + or - button, but insert directly a zoom factor in the "grid and metrics" window. This is a little complicated. I would be glad if future versions could have a zoom dropdown directly in the main window.

WinFIG 4 b 1 doesn't remember the last used folder. It would be great if it could do this.

Bug Reports / change of tool while duplicate action not possible

WinFIG 4.0b1: When I try to change the tool while duplicating some object, the action is not interrupted (like pressing the right mouse button). Instead the new tool is chosen, but the duplicated object is still fixed to the mouse. Some automatic interrupt action would be handy.

Bug Reports / Missplaced LaTeX text

When including some math latex text (e.g. $\bigl\{ C \bigr\}$) the placement of the preview in WinFIG and the placement in the final tex document differ. Because of the \smash statement in the .pdftex_t file latex uses the capital ground line as reference vertical coordinate in contrast to WinFIG which takes the lowes point of the generated latex text.

Is the \smash statement unconditionally necessary for other purposes? Is it possible to remove this command by default?
(A precice preview would be very important for efficiant work...)

PS: After removing the smash statement there remains a displacement of ca. 1 dot (preview ist higher than latex final graphic). I have no explanation for this.

Bug Reports / Fig file is always modyfied while exporting

WinFIG 4.0b1: When I export my graphic as PDFtex WinFIG says always (even after saving the .fig): " test.fig has been modified. Do you want to save..."

First this worries a little bit and later it disrupt the workflow.

Bug Reports / "select color" sindow opens when editing Zoom in "page setup" window

WinFIG 4.0b1: Wenn man im "page setup" Fenster per Tastatur einen Wert z.B. für die Zoomstufe einträgt und mit Enter
bestätigt, öffnet sich unsinniger Weise das "select color" Fenster.
